Official Guidelines • Effective Academic Year 2026–2027
This system promotes accountability and rewards engagement through structured point tracking. By announcing required year levels per event and recording attendance, we ensure fairness for all members.
At least 48 hours before every event, the organization will post an announcement specifying:
Members whose year level is not listed as required are still welcome to attend and will earn bonus points for doing so — but will face no penalty for absence.
Once posted, required year levels and point values are final.
Points and demerits vary per event based on importance. How much you earn or lose also depends on whether your year level was listed as required for that event.
| Attendance Status | Required Member | Non-Required Member |
|---|---|---|
| Present (signed in) | × 1.0 base merit | × 1.5 base merit |
| Excused | × 0.50 base merit | × 0.25 base merit |
| Absent (unexcused) | × 1.0 base demerit | No penalty |
Both sign-in and sign-out are tracked and scored separately. Leaving early may result in reduced points.
Non-required members never receive demerits for absence.
If you cannot attend an event where your year level is required, you may submit proof to avoid demerits.
Approved excuses result in 0 points (no attendance point and no demerit).
